If you look at the big picture of Microsoft and Apple working at locking down their operating systems and what software you can load, limited to their developer platform approved and signed packages… this lines up with digital ID, spyware on users with integrated AI, screen capture (Microsoft Recall)… all leading to a mark of the beast system and complete control of information and activity online. For the developing digital Panopticon, Linux was a problem for which they’ve been busily working to co-opt and degrade. But the problem is that it’s opensource, and alternatives will exist. And there are lean and light distributions that support older hardware.
