I’m going to go back to my thoughts on there maybe being a serious reason for the push to Wayland and doing away with X11 (Xorg), and that is digital surveillance and AI integration. Microsoft with their Recall and AI analysis were involved in ID2020 along with IBM who owns Red Hat. You just have to think this is a major move towards digital surveillance on the open and free software GNU/Linux operating systems as they’re already moving to lock down Windows and macOS. And the far left sexual deviant developers are easy prey for these megacorps that embrace their debauchery. Myself personally, all Red Hat tainted projects are persona non grata going forward. Though on my laptop I do miss my Firefox Wayland two finger gestures for back and forward, but I’ll live (X11 actually works smoother than Wayland anyway and I can’t wait for XLibre).
