Not only is Microsoft’s Windows 11 telemetry out of control, they’re reaching out to third parties with telemetry. They also have plans to require laptops to have a high quality camera in order to install Windows 11, probably for facial unlock and associated features, but they control it and not you (systems with on/off switches for mic and camera are looking pretty good now). I never cared for Windows 10 telemetry, but I run my own PiHole/Unbound DNS servers with lots of filtering unless hard coded to IP, and you can disable a lot of it in settings. But what they’re doing now is more oppressive than in the book 1984, and Microsoft is firmly in bed with the globalist elite on developing a Technocracy and even support their digital ID system to nail down who you are (ID 2020). So Windows 11 is off the table for any future computer after my Windows 10 desktop goes end of life. I hope the gaming on Linux is pretty good by then (it’s supposed to be much improved due to Steam). Consequently, open source and free as in freedom Linux distributions is the path forward if you value your privacy and freedom from these oppressive megacorps and their tracking you like a dog. And you have to beware of even some opensource projects like Ubuntu with telemetry on by default (can be disabled – open source), and Google now wants to add telemetry on by default to their Go programming language and apps created with it. Once they come online with Central Bank Digital Currencies, digital ID’s, and vaccine passports, you might not be able to escape it.
