Having come from megacorp AT&T, they were rolling out bossware to our computers just before I left. And it really says something about your work relationship with your employer. Their mismanagement always led to them trying to implore you to go the extra mile to cover over the flaws in the organization, but at the same time they treat you like a bad child who can’t be trusted. The only saving grace is that if you’re a good employee, you can earn some good will from your supervisor and a couple layers of management. But in this day and age, you’re better off working for a smaller business where you know the owner(s) personally who will value you for your contributions to the business.
