KDE’s New “Non-Binary” Mascot

It’s sad that KDE is my favorite desktop environment, as the project is being run by sexual deviants. And next year KDE version 6.8 is dropping X11 support for Wayland only, so here’s hoping SonicDE is successful. Consequently, SonicDE has an updated webpage from the last time I visited, having an Arch repo, and looking pretty good already. So the time of dropping the sexual deviant KDE is closer than I imagined. And from my employment life, sexual deviants are unstable and not the best workers, as in such rebellion to God how could they be, so seeing project leadership going this route is a sign to look elsewhere by itself.

Our current main task is forking the KDE components that SonicDE depends on and removing the leftover Wayland parts everywhere to better concentrate on the X11 support. Feature-wise there is work ongoing to implement a Vulkan Backend. We‘d also like to make use of the expected new features of XLibre and remain compatible with X.Org Server for as long as possible. Besides SonicDE on Linux, we like to support the BSDs where KDE/X11 already runs today and stay init system agnostic.
