I was never into the premise of Airbnb or Vrbo in the first place, renting a place from some third party I don’t know through essentially an online broker And do these gig economy platforms really vet these third parties? And I’m guessing the fees mentioned are the taxes local municipalities have put on these services to bring them inline with how they scam hotel users… Though, I was unaware of how so many people got suckered into buying properties and putting them on these services, which is a nice scam to help keep home prices high without the funds needing to buy so many properties with high bids.
