If you’re running X.Org (x11), you’ll probably want to switch from that to XLibre before they rebase it on a really old version. I run XLibre on both of my computers, and I guess I’ll have to switch the wife’s computer over soon as it’s still on X.Org. I wouldn’t be surprised if they’re doing this to make it work worse than Wayland, to drive more users over to Wayland. So is this a desperate move by IBM/Red Hat to make Wayland the default display server? Are they that desperate for their AI hooks, agentic AI and spying on Linux users?
