BODYCAM: Bogus Traffic Stop – Interrogation Tactics EXPOSED

This is an Institute for Justice update on the Texas man who had his fourth amendment rights violated, and there are a lot more details provided. The interrogation tactic of getting you to sit in the police car with the camera on you while being questioned is diabolical (I’d only move if he said he was detaining me). And we also learn the tip for his truck was provided by an unknown source through a messaging app thought to be a fed on the sole reason that he did a one day turnaround trip. Also, this sheriff’s department is abusing the whole drug sniffing dog methodology and falsifying reports. Consequently, this is a highly unethical law enforcement organization, and they’re breaking the law to find people they can steal from, so pay attention to the cash question. If you were carrying a large amount of cash and told them, they’d seize it and call it illegal drug money until you sued them and proved it wasn’t, blowing the value on attorney fees which they count on (some offer half back if you drop the lawsuit). I hope the man gets a nice settlement, and if me, I’d share half or more with the Institute for Justice. I’d probably avoid driving through that county if possible, as I wouldn’t put it past these lawless officers to plant drugs on you to justify their past crime, and why good to be like this man and not make a fuss until later.
