Update on the Bitcoin SPAM war. The tactics and illogical arguments of the Bitcoin Core folks has been pretty repugnant. And I think the node numbers are interesting as while Bitcoin Knots has jumped up, Bitcoin Core numbers don’t fully reflect it, which makes me think some of the companies involved have paid to spin up Bitcoin Core nodes, which costs for the disk space and bandwidth, especially if they used VPS providers. Consequently, this will be a big test for the future of Bitcoin and how Bitcoin users choose the future direction by what software they run. We can hope this motivates a lot more people to run their own nodes for their financial sovereignty.
