This is a good presentation, and there is no escaping that something weird is going on with the Bitcoin Core developers. Consequently, since switching to Bitcoin Knots which filters spam transactions from the mempool, my Bitcoin node traffic is down since I’m not forwarding that crap. When Bitcoin Core v30 releases, it will be interesting to see if people run it, as I’ve previously noted, most of the Bitcoin Core versions being run in nodes is not the current v29. And Bitcoin Knots nodes is in the same 4,000 neighborhood of Bitcoin Core v29 already.
