Misrepresenting God’s Word, Tucker Carlson and Candace Owens Condemn Israel’s Right To Defend Itself

To be clear, Tucker Carlson and Candace Owens are controlled opposition, so they’re just doing as they’re ordered, but this is a peculiar position, though perhaps to just foster cognitive dissonance in conservatives or convert some to be antisemitic. Also, painting Iran as going after civilians and children as if Israel is so noble is a fallacy, as Israel kills civilians and children too, in the case of Iran, when they hit the homes of nuclear scientists and assassinated military leaders. And in fairness to Israel, they try to limit civilian casualties for which Iran lacks the capability of being more surgical, while Hamas uses their own people as human shields which doesn’t dissuade Israel. And one has to remember that even though Israel is the chosen people of God with the promises by God still intact, they’re mostly a secular nation that denies their Messiah, who was their God in human flesh, Consequently, both countries have their versions of Satanic works based religions where they think they are righteous by their human effort, falling far short of what is required by God, repentance and faith in Christ as a propitiation for their sin to satisfy God’s Justice. So this could all just be the judgement of God on both parties as they suffer and stress, perhaps to bring them to repentance and dependence on the very God they currently deny, as there is no peace for the wicked. But God has said there is a remnant within Israel, and Christ will save that remnant when He returns to build His millennial kingdom after destroying all the unbelievers of the earth. So things haven’t even got started yet.

How do you feel about war? Christians, let’s be honest, it’s difficult. As followers of Jesus, we are called to be peacemakers and to love our neighbor as ourselves, but we also live in a broken world where evil must be confronted. Evil, such as the radical Islamic regime in Iran firing ballistic missiles into Israel in the middle of the night, killing civilians. Israeli rescuers pulled a six-day-old baby from the rubble early Monday morning.

In just 72 hours, Israel has crippled Iran’s capability to create a nuclear holocaust in Israel or the United States. At the same time, we’re hearing naive voices from the progressive left and confused voices from the woke right, who say they follow Jesus but condemn Israel’s right to defend itself.

Former Fox News host Tucker Carlson, speaking of Israel in an interview with Russell Brand, stated: “You do not have the right to kill people, except in self-defense. Ever. Because you are not God. And if you decide that you have that right—if you decide you are God and you just get to kill people because it’s going to make the world better, or whatever, you’re a monster. And just know that. By the way, I didn’t always feel that way, but I now do. I feel it strongly enough to become unpopular by saying it.”

If you agree with Tucker, let me be crystal clear: his position isn’t just wrong; it’s unbiblical, dangerous, and plays right into the hands of Israel’s enemies.

Candace Owens recently made this statement: “They have this bizarre focus, our classrooms, on training us to have this bizarre allegiance to Israel? I’m just sick and tired of the subjugated Christian. I’m sick and tired of the tail in between your legs Christian that is like, ‘Israel first, and then I’ll get to the New Testament.’”

In First Samuel chapter 15, God commands King Saul to completely destroy the Amalekites, who attacked God’s people during the Exodus from Egypt. When Saul disobeyed, the prophet Samuel took a sword and hacked the Amalekite King to pieces.

What about Elijah in First Kings when he confronted the 450 prophets of Baal on Mount Carmel? After God sent fire from heaven proving his Lordship, Elijah took those false prophets and slaughtered every single one.

God doesn’t rejoice in violence, but He is a God of war when justice demands it. The Hebrew Scripture calls him Adonai Tzva’ot, “the Lord of Armies.” In Exodus 15, Moses says, “The Lord is a man of war: the Lord is his name.”

When Jesus said, “Blessed are the peacemakers” in Matthew 5, He wasn’t talking about appeasing terrorists. When Jesus said, “He who lives by the sword dies by the sword” in Matthew 26, He was stopping Peter from interfering with God’s redemptive plan; He wasn’t establishing universal pacifism.

Sometimes, God commands real battles with real swords against real enemies. When Joshua conquered Jericho, the walls didn’t fall down spiritually; they actually came crashing down.

Here’s what these false teachers are forgetting: Jesus first came as a humble servant, the Lamb of God, to take away the sin of the world, but that is only one aspect of His character. That same Jesus is also the eternal King of Israel, the One sitting at the right hand of the Father, the conquering King. As we are told in Revelation 19, Jesus will return to rule and reign from Jerusalem.

The founder of The Real Life Network, Pastor Jack Hibbs, explained the Jew hatred spreading throughout the world.

“You’re not going to hear this in any secular setting [or even] in most church settings,” he underscored. “Islam believes that its religion demands that Israel be annihilated. Think of a religion whose key foundation is the destruction of Israel. Ask yourself this question: why would that be a fundamental foundation to that religion or any religion?

The religion of Islam also demands that “all Jews must be killed globally,” Hibbs detailed. “The Earth must be rid of Jews. Why? Because if there’s no Jerusalem and if there’s no Israel, then the Messiah—Yeshua Hamashiach, Jesus Christ—does not return to establish His kingdom.”

“People don’t understand that, but Satan does,” he emphasized. “If there is no Israel, then where will the Messiah return?”

When Iran and its proxies threaten to wipe Israel off the map, they’re not just threatening a tiny nation; they are threatening the “apple of God’s eye” with the most powerful military in the Middle East.

The Lion of Judah is a roaring lion rising to protect His people from the serpent and the venom of those who misrepresent God’s Word.
