I’ve been enjoying Navidrome which is a fabulous project for accessing your digital music through a very nice web interface. Consequently, some old music hasn’t aged well, but there are some albums that are timeless and very well done. Which brings up the point after decades have passed, some artists trying to get into the business and I assume walking with God by lyrics or songs, create beautiful projects while leaning on God, but after they make it and start to get polluted by the industry and money, they drift off with a study decline in their work, often leaving spouses and the faith along the way. And it’s such a tragedy when God has gifted them with so much talent and promise when relying on Him, to leave it all to be lost and squandered with questions of what could have been. And the scripture says all good things come from God, so why turn from Him for the empty and vain things of this world? There have just been so many artists that start so well who then drift off, but such is the mystery of the human heart.
Jeremiah 17:9
[9] The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately sick; who can understand it? (ESV)
