There have been constant reports of the Ukrainian soldiers killing civilians in the breakaway regions, and one of the reasons Russia finally officially invaded Ukraine in order to protect Russian speakers. But these types of terrorist attacks are also on the table with Ukraine. One of the worst was a social media reporter who covered the war and was giving a talk when he was killed by a bomb placed next to him on stage. Of course there isn’t a lot of coverage of these terrorist attacks in the west. And when you can’t win on the battlefield, you resort to other questionable methods.

Ukraine has reportedly claimed responsibility for a Tuesday morning explosion in Moscow which killed Russia’s Nuclear, Biological, and Chemical Defense Forces chief Lt. Gen. Igor Kirillov.
Kirillov and his assistant were killed in the blast.
The slaying comes just a day after Kirillov was charged criminally by Ukraine’s Security Services (SBU).
On Monday, the SBU charged Kirillov in absentia for alleged war crimes.
The SBU said on Telegram that Kirillov was “responsible for the mass use of banned chemical weapons.”
Russia’s Investigative Committee said the explosive device was placed in a scooter near a residential apartment block on Ryazansky Avenue.
The device was triggered remotely, according to The Associated Press.
According to Russian state news agency Tass, the bomb had the power of roughly 300 grams of TNT.
Pictures from the scene showed the entrance to a building was badly damaged, with scorch marks on the walls and a number of windows blown out.
Two body bags could also be seen on the street.
Russia’s Investigative Committee said it had “opened a criminal case into the murder of two servicemen”.
“Investigators, forensic experts, and operational services are working at the scene,” it said.
“Investigative actions and operational search activities are being carried out aimed at establishing all the circumstances of the crime.”
Residents living near the blast told the AFP news agency they initially thought the loud noise they heard had come from a construction site.
Student Mikhail Mashkov, who lives in the building next door, said he was woken up by a “very loud explosion noise.”
Mashkov said he initially thought “something fell at the construction site” when he heard the sound.
Meanwhile, Olga Bogomolova said she thought a container had fallen at the construction site.
Bogomolova said she then realized “it was a very strong explosion” when she saw “broken windows.”
Reuters reported that the SBU claimed responsibility for the hit on Kirillov.
The BBC also reported that a source in Ukraine’s SBU claimed Kirillov was “a legitimate target.”
The SBU source reportedly stated that Kirillov was killed because he had he had carried out war crimes.
The Ukrainian government has not yet commented on the general’s death.
“Investigators, forensic experts, and operational services are working at the scene,” RIC spokeswoman Svetlana Petrenko said in a statement.
“Investigative and search activities are being carried out to establish all the circumstances around this crime.”
Petrenko also said Russia is treating the explosion as a terrorist attack.
Kirillov was charged by the SBU on Monday with using banned chemical weapons on the battlefield.
Several countries had also placed him under sanctions for his role in the war against Ukraine, The AP reported.
The SBU said it has recorded more than 4,800 uses of chemical weapons under the general’s leadership during Russia’s attack on Ukraine, which began in February 2022.
Moscow denies the allegations.
