This is a promising day for an open router designed to run OpenWrt. I had bought my current router because it would run OpenWrt, but I’ve been so happy with Mikrotik‘s router software and how well they update it along with their application for configuring, I’ve never changed it. But OpenWrt is a fabulous project. Consequently, I still have a proprietary Ubiquiti wireless access point to change, so this could become a good option along with a Mikrotik access point. Also, if you combined this with a switch for more wired connections, it could be a complete solution.
