Alleged Apalachee Shooter Was Known to FBI, Made Threats Last Year

The FBI used to have this six week news cycle operation where they used criminal informants to develop cases so they could stay relevant in the news for budgetary consideration, though they vary the timing now under different management. Sometimes it’s young Muslim men that are gullible to do something for Islam, and they’ll groom them and provide them weapons and fake bombs in their entrapment. They’ve been outed doing this in the Gretchen Whitmer kidnapping debacle where suspects were acquitted. And some of these operations go off outside their control (or are allowed to?), as in many of these shooting events there just happens to be an exercise nearby with local law enforcement involving federal officers who can show up and take over the scene. So along those lines, the school shooter is known by the FBI, having made threats in 2023. Coincidence?

The FBI’s Atlanta Field Office has released some new details about the alleged shooter responsible for killing four and injuring several others at Apalachee High School on Wednesday.

Among the details was the fact that Colt Gray had been investigated previously for making online threats to commit a school shooting in 2023.

According to the agency’s statement, in May 2023, the FBI investigated online threats and determined they came from Gray, though the then-13-year-old denied making them. Area schools were still put on alert and told to monitor him.

Here is the full text of the Atlanta office statement:

FBI Atlanta responded earlier today to Apalachee High School following reports of an active shooter. Throughout the day FBI personnel have been coordinating with and supporting local and state law enforcement. The FBI will dedicate all available resources, as requested, to seek justice and bring closure for the victims and their families.

In May 2023, the FBI’s National Threat Operations Center received several anonymous tips about online threats to commit a school shooting at an unidentified location and time. The online threats contained photographs of guns. Within 24 hours, the FBI determined the online post originated in Georgia and the FBI’s Atlanta Field Office referred the information to the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office for action.

The Jackson County Sheriffs’ Office located a possible subject, a 13-year-old male, and interviewed him and his father. The father stated he had hunting guns in the house, but the subject did not have unsupervised access to them. The subject denied making the threats online. Jackson County alerted local schools for continued monitoring of the subject.

At that time, there was no probable cause for arrest or to take any additional law enforcement action on the local, state, or federal levels.
