Back in the early 2000’s I took a business trip to Dallas, Texas, and while the other AT&T travelers on that trip were enjoying free happy hour at the hotel I was off exploring Dallas. And I was struck by how the demographics of Dallas reminded me a lot of Sacramento, California. Seeing how Texas had four major urban areas, I could see that it wouldn’t be long before it became just like California with voting dominated by urban areas. And in the current climate of blue states and urban areas not enforcing the law, they’re flooding the rest of the country with people fleeing their mismanagement, looking for a safe and better place to live. And Nick’s coverage of the major suburban areas rapidly growing in Texas and where people are coming from paints a picture of how Texas’ change to a blue state could happen rather quickly.
