Inspiring story of the man running One Championship which in many ways is a superior martial arts organization compared to the UFC. Of course, getting a degree from Harvard Business school and looking at the OCGFC that invested in One Championship has got to raise eyebrows, but we’ll save that investigation for another day. Consequently, with One Championship they have MMA, Muay Thai, kickboxing, and grappling as well as some of the most technical and proficient fighters in the world, and their events are always very entertaining.
And fittingly, the best MMA fighter in the world which the UFC heavily disrespected when he was a long time champion made the move to One Championship, and he’s a perfect fit in being a respectful martial artist. Of course, some fighters in One Championship are starting to go the way of the UFC with a lot of bravado and manufactured drama, but the organization itself promotes respectful martial arts.
If you’re not familiar with the UFC, this is a good documentary on how it grew to become a $4 billion dollar sports franchise. Consequently, there was history here I wasn’t aware of.
