John MacArthur is outlining Muslim Eschatology which is frighteningly familiar to a reader of the Bible. The three end times characters of Islam are explained, the Mahdi, Isa, and the Dajjal. The Mahdi is their Messiah, Isa is Jesus their prophet who will worship and serve the Mahdi by killing all those that won’t worship Allah, and the Dajjal is their antichrist who will be killed by their prophet Jesus. But to the Christian these are Antichrist, the False Prophet, and the real Jesus Christ at His second coming. It’s an extremely interesting twisting of Christian eschatology, and even explains why there is a large group of humans ready to rebel at the end of the millennial reign of Christ, even mentioning sanctuary cities until the end of the Dajjal’s time.
