Highlighting a Couple False Teachers

A great way to tell a false teacher is when they call for unity above everything. Succinctly, there is no unity without the doctrinal foundation of Christ and His scriptural revelation. The light cannot dwell with darkness, so what unity is there with heresy, and bad company corrupts good morals.

2 Corinthians 6:14

[14] Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers. For what partnership has righteousness with lawlessness? Or what fellowship has light with darkness? (ESV)

1 Corinthians 15:33

[33] Do not be deceived: “Bad company ruins good morals.” (ESV)

One of the biggest such false teachers was Billy Graham who played a huge roll in the corruption of the modern church and was backed by the Rockefellers paying for his TV ministries all to collect support for their cold war against Russia. The call for unity is to pull people under the yoke of false churches, their human leadership, for political control, and to get them to accept compromise and heretical views. Because society can’t be preserved if the salt is ruined.

Matthew 5:13

[13] “You are the salt of the earth, but if salt has lost its taste, how shall its saltiness be restored? It is no longer good for anything except to be thrown out and trampled under people’s feet. (ESV)

So first up is Beth Moore who Satan has exposed as his servant affirming the Roman Catholic Heretical Church, but the biggest red flag is saying that spending time in the Bible is not the same as spending time with God when that’s how God chooses to speak to us today. And direct revelation from God is sealed until the end of the age as we have His revelation in scripture which is complete, so that condemns her and the Roman Catholic Church in claiming new revelation that contradicts scripture.

Jude 3

[3] Beloved, although I was very eager to write to you about our common salvation, I found it necessary to write appealing to you to contend for the faith that was once for all delivered to the saints. (ESV)

And the real church doesn’t have racists, as there are only two races of consequence for Christians, the race of Adam under the curse, and the race of Christ who have repented, believed and been reconciled to God, imputed with the righteousness of Christ.

In August 2020, Moore said, “White supremacy has held tight in much of the church for so long because the racists outlasted the anti racists.”[2]

False Teacher #1 – Beth Moore

And last, but not least, we have Beth Moore. Beth Moore is the favorite among the lady preacher speaking circuit ranging from LifeWay and the Southern Baptist Convention to Hillsong. Beth Moore’s most blatant heresy is undoubtedly her claims to have received a direct vision from God — a vision that contradicted the Scriptures entirely. In this vision, God supposedly told her that Roman Catholicism is one of God’s true Christian denominations and that he desires unity among the various denominations, including Catholicism.

In another video, she doubles down on this vision claiming that God told her that he is going to “unite all sectors of Christendom,” and in another, she claims God gave her a vision of a bus stop so that she could give a random lady some money.

Whether it be Beth Moore’s endless accounts of visions from God, or her regular teaming up with heretics like Joel Osteen or Joyce Meyer, or just the fact that she has literally no discernment and is politically charged with leftist identity politics while declaring that spending time in the Bible is not the same thing as spending time with God, one thing is for sure — Beth Moore has captivated millions of people around the world and led them astray. Whether she devours them herself or feeds them to her pack mates, she is a wolf in sheep’s clothing that, for some reason, still continues to be paraded around in orthodox churches as though she is benign. She is not, she is to be avoided at all costs.

McClean Bible Church was a powerful force for God in Washington, DC, but their assets and influence were coveted by SBC with David Platt being selected as replacement pastor for Lon Solomon. His disingenuous, emotional preaching style is so offensive I’d dare anyone to see if they can stomach a full sermon. Not long after taking over he became a proponent of the social justice racial gospel, and participated in a George Floyd protest with an associate pastor. But exposing himself further he’s calling for unity and trying to garner what’s left of the congregation under his political direction quite pathetically.

False Teacher #2 – David Platt

David Platt Says Political Convictions are Idolatry

David Platt has sadly been on a downhill trajectory in recent years ever since he left Brook Hills Church and became intertwined with the elite folk of mainstream Evangelicalism. The status quo of Evangelicalism have no real standards of doctrinal fidelity and they don’t really care if those people that they lend credence to preach a false gospel or not.

Yet, Platt has become one of the most outspoken critics of the illusory epidemic of “racism” that supposedly has American Evangelicalism in its death grip and refuses to let go. Platt argues passionately during an interview with Carey Nieuwhof, over and over, about how wicked “racism” and “white supremacy” are and how churches that are “divided among racial lines” are perpetuating a system of Jim Crow. David Platt’s primary ambition and sole mission in life and in his ministry revolves around blending people of different skin shades together while laying aside their “political convictions.”

Platt admits during the interview that part of the reason churches are divided racially is that there is a significant political divide between the two. But then, Platt argues, that these political convictions are “idolatrous.” Following a mass exodus of conservatives from McLean Bible Church, a historically conservative church that he now pastors, due to Platt’s leadership and downplaying of the sinfulness of holding to some political convictions, it’s clear where Platt stands on this issue. For Platt, political idolatry isn’t in the holding of these convictions, it’s in believing that these convictions are moral issues worthy of biblical correction.

Another way to frame David Platt’s position is this: one can hold the political conviction that abortion, the killing of innocent unborn children, should be legal and mothers should be free to choose whether or not to carry out this attack on children, and that is not sinful. In fact, Platt argues that Christians on both sides of this issue should sit around and talk things out, and it’s okay to agree to disagree, so long as everyone is heard. But, where the idolatry comes in is when you believe that someone who believes murdering children should be legal should be corrected and held accountable by the church.

The problem with Platt is that such convictions against these issues far surpass mere “politics”—we’re not talking about which roads tax money should be spent on. Conservatives Christians aren’t dividing over these issues. The “political convictions” that conservative Christians are elevating to a level worthy of dividing over are moral issues—sin. Anyone who believes killing children is morally acceptable and should be legal is in sin, and when pastors, like David Platt, refuse to address the sin in their congregations, conservative, Bible-believing Christians are going to leave.

And that’s what has David Platt all in a tizzy, he believes this shouldn’t be the case, and for him, he believes that holding such convictions is idolatrous. And yes, while we should certainly hold our political leaders accountable for their personal sins, a political leader committing a sin is not the same as voting sinful practices and ideologies into national policy.

Below is a short clip, and the entire interview can be heard (at this link).

David Platt says political convictions are idolatry and churches shouldn’t divide over them. But he refuses to accept that it’s far more than political—abortion, homosexuality, CRT, etc are MORAL issues, worthy of biblical correction. But false teachers are under a curse for distorting the gospel, and they’re sealing their fate as God will judge them and exclude them from being able to receive His offer of grace, a dangerous place to put yourself. By accursed below, Paul is saying condemned to hell for eternity.

Galatians 1:8–9

[8] But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach to you a gospel contrary to the one we preached to you, let him be accursed. [9] As we have said before, so now I say again: If anyone is preaching to you a gospel contrary to the one you received, let him be accursed. (ESV)

Jude 10–13

[10] But these people blaspheme all that they do not understand, and they are destroyed by all that they, like unreasoning animals, understand instinctively. [11] Woe to them! For they walked in the way of Cain and abandoned themselves for the sake of gain to Balaam’s error and perished in Korah’s rebellion. [12] These are hidden reefs at your love feasts, as they feast with you without fear, shepherds feeding themselves; waterless clouds, swept along by winds; fruitless trees in late autumn, twice dead, uprooted; [13] wild waves of the sea, casting up the foam of their own shame; wandering stars, for whom the gloom of utter darkness has been reserved forever. (ESV)
