I installed Debian 12 Beta yesterday, and after some tweaking it’s been very nice and I’ve deleted Linux Mint so it could take it’s slot on my computer for daily GNU/Linux OS rotation. Debian 12 requires some tweaking for me involving the removal of Firefox ESR 102 edition and manually installing Mozilla’s latest version which will keep itself up to date, Firefox 111 currently. I also needed to install the backports repo to install Tor Browser. But what’s interesting is this is pretty up to date software wise for a Debian install. Not quite up to date with my Endeavor OS Arch based distro, but very close. The stable release is expected out in June, but I haven’t had any issues being on the Beta. And since its KDE Wayland, it works extremely well in VMware Player with nice mouse integration without having to go full capture, which makes it easier to switch back to the host OS. And congratulations to Debian which is now 30 years old, and also the base OS for many GNU/Linux distributions today.
