W0CHP’s YSF Manager with YSFGateway and DMR2YSF

I don’t think this is documented and would kind of be unique to W0CHP’s Pi-Star Digital Voice Dashboard. Usually with DMR2YSF and DMRGateway you use a special TG, talk group, to activate and use a YSF reflector or FCS reflector. For example, to use America Link you’d use TG 7032592, and traffic comes in on that TG and you use that TG to transmit (TG 7004000 to disconnect). But with W0CHP’s Pi-Star Digital Voice Dashboard he has a YSF Manager page where you can select/search for YSF or FCS rooms and link or unlink easily without needing the special TG (which can have issues). Since the YSF Manager is using YSFGateway it’s using the host room file entries. Once connected traffic comes in on TG 7000009 which you also use to transmit. The only caveat is you should just use the TGIF Manager to connect and disconnect as if you use TG 7004000 to disconnect, a bug exists where this replaces TG 7000009 and future traffic using the YSF Manager will come in on TG 7004000, and TG 7004000 won’t disconnect. So read that as use one method or the other and don’t mix them (until the bug is fixed at least or this method cleaned up). But this is a much easier way of using YSF with a DMR radio if you’re running W0CHP Pi-Star Digital Voice Dashboard.

Update Mar 7, 2023: It looks like this has been changed and now when you select a reflector traffic comes through with the TG number, e.g. TG 7032592. So the TG 7000009 might have been a bug and no longer working, and that should free you to use TG 7004000 to disconnect without it locking in that TG for traffic when you use the YSF Manager.
