Christians being persecuted in the west is already underway. A UK street preacher was arrested for telling God’s definition of marriage from Genesis, and a Bible quoting MP in Finland is facing jail time for tweeting Romans 1:24-27. So as they push for a one world government, they’ll bring Christian persecution to America and Brunson’s article linked at the bottom is a great thought exercise to prepare yourself.
A couple points to keep in mind as you read the post below, and it’s the relationship between God and Satan and how it factors into what happens on earth and what level of persecution is allowed. Just look at how cordial their interaction is in the Book of Job.
Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the Lord, and Satan[b] also came among them. The Lord said to Satan, “From where have you come?” Satan answered the Lord and said, “From going to and fro on the earth, and from walking up and down on it.” And the Lord said to Satan, “Have you considered my servant Job, that there is none like him on the earth, a blameless and upright man, who fears God and turns away from evil?” Then Satan answered the Lord and said, “Does Job fear God for no reason? Have you not put a hedge around him and his house and all that he has, on every side? You have blessed the work of his hands, and his possessions have increased in the land. But stretch out your hand and touch all that he has, and he will curse you to your face.” And the Lord said to Satan, “Behold, all that he has is in your hand. Only against him do not stretch out your hand.” So Satan went out from the presence of the Lord.
Job 1:6-12 ESV
As the head fallen angel, Satan stays within his lane so to speak, or he’d join the angels locked away as referenced in the Book of Jude.
And the angels who did not stay within their own position of authority, but left their proper dwelling, he has kept in eternal chains under gloomy darkness until the judgment of the great day—
Jude 1:6 ESV
And the apostle Paul with so much power from the Holy Spirit was beaten, whipped, flogged and in Acts 14:19-20 stoned and dragged outside the town, presumed dead. I always thought that he did die and that was when he was taken up to heaven as mentioned in 2 Cor 12:2-4 (possible timeline issue?). It was only after the believers gathered around him that he recovered. I would argue that they knew how to stone someone to death with practice. However, one interaction with Christ gave a clue as to why Paul was so savagely treated in some locations and not others.
And the Lord said to Paul one night in a vision, “Do not be afraid, but go on speaking and do not be silent, for I am with you, and no one will attack you to harm you, for I have many in this city who are my people.” And he stayed a year and six months, teaching the word of God among them.
Acts 18:9-10 ESV
So it would follow that if Satan has more people in a location at a given time, there seems to be an unwritten rule that he is allowed greater latitude to act. Just look what happened to the Apostle Paul throughout his ministry. And there is a disturbing trend in our country that any God fearing and believing people are being driven out of office, government, corporations, Big Tech platforms, the market place… Consequently, this paints a drab picture for true Christians that will stand for Christ, the Bible, and the only way to be reconciled to God. Heed the warning below from a man that spent two years in prison persecuted for Christ, but remember that our faith is based on the foundation of Christ’s Apostles with many facing death rather than denying our Savior.
