The undisclosed part is that if you don’t vote, your registration is dropped. So it’s people that skipped the last election registering for the presidential election. And unique to Wyoming, you have to request absentee ballots for every election, no permanent absentee ballots. But it’s easy as you just send an email with your information, and it’s handy to fill out the ballot at the table using your laptop for research for which the wife and I tag team it. And if you do absentee ballots, drop it at the drop box outside the Elections office pictured below (under video surveillance), as the USPS was trying to move mail processing from Cheyenne to Colorado, and from Casper to Montana. That doesn’t smell like a Demonrat setup for cheating at all.

Voters turned out in huge numbers for Tuesday’s General Election, both in Laramie County and across Wyoming.
According to Laramie County Clerk Debra Lee, turnout on for the election for all Laramie County voters was 43, 583 people, or 107. 74 percent of registered voters. That number includes early and absentee ballots.
How can that number be over 100 percent of registered voters? We asked Lee, and she explained “Because of same day registrations. Wyoming law allows persons to register and vote on the same day.”
In other words, 100 percent of registered voters means the number of registered voters going into the election. Enough people registered at the polls to exceed that number when all votes were counted.
While that represents a big turnout, it isn’t a record. In fact Laramie County voter turnout has been high for the last few presidential elections according to Lee:
2024 – 43,583 (107.74%)
2020 – 45,237 (104%)
2016 – 41,353 (108.7%)
2012 – 39,750 (102%)
State Voter Turnout Was Also High
Turnout was high across Wyoming, according to Wyoming Secretary of State Chuck Gray. His office released a statement which included the following:
According to the unofficial results reported by Wyoming’s 23 counties, there were 271,043 ballots that were cast across the state for the 2024 General Election. The total number of ballots cast in the 2022 General Election was 198,198.
“Last night was a tremendous moment for Wyoming, and for our country,” Secretary of State Chuck Gray said. “I want to thank the citizens of Wyoming for the strong voter turnout.”
It may be worth noting that 2022 was not a presidential election year, and voter turnout in Wyoming, as well as other states across the country, is much higher during presidential election years.
