Many Christian hip-hop artists who are black can’t free themselves from the false paradigm of institutionalized racism in America, which is a myth. When I worked for AT&T, we had a black female executive over our division with black employees and management. And those that didn’t perform were fired or laid off in contrast to DEI practices today. But if you work hard with results, you can be successful in America, as immigrants prove all the time regardless of the color of their skin or where they came from. So when a black Christian hip-hop artist gets it, and doesn’t go in on CRT madness, you have to appreciate the man’s walk with God through reading scripture and seeing the truth of the world system. And it’s a scriptural truth that there are only two races of consequence, the race of Adam and the race of Christ, with people born into the race of Adam as their federal head, transferred into the race of Christ when they believe and are born again.
And he was hitting truth hard in the original song with a wonderful lyric, “he can’t even pick his bedtime, but he can pick his gender”.
