Modern television shows are kind of over the top with propaganda messaging, woke, and usually extremely dark. So we like to watch older shows that have a little humor, though we’ve found they’ve been propagandizing us on many of the same topics for decades. Episode Ch-Ch-Changes of CSI below on trans people seeking out underground sex reassignment surgeries is something you’d expect to see on television today. Does it remind you of the propaganda around illegal abortions? In the episode the surgeries weren’t illegal, they just had to wait a year to make sure they really wanted the procedure. They even hit on gender being a societal construct also referencing a child of 3 realizing they were the wrong gender. It was a really badly written and illogical episode, but was actually interesting for it’s propaganda attempt showing how this has been an agenda for decades. Given the time of 2004, it was more of a horror approach to the topic and probably received that way by viewers. Consequently, the review from a viewer last year sums it all up pretty well with a funny review, but notice 2 of 6 found the review helpful.
