This song is very interesting, as it pulls from scripture the real case of Satan in heaven acting as a prosecuting attorney before God. And it’s best to remember that Satan and God have cordial conversations as in the book of Job (until Satan loses access to heaven at the end of the age), and those fallen angels that won’t hold their station have been locked up until their release in the tribulation as part of God’s wrath unleashed on the world (don’t miss the extraction). So Satan is our accuser before God unless we’re covered by Christ. And this also makes our state very relatable in our modern world, as God’s standard is perfection, so we all have a high stack of evidence files on Satan’s prosecuting table, and there is no escape from our sentence before a Holy God. Except that Christ paid our sentence and we’re set free and reconciled to God through Christ, making God just and our justifier. What a wonderful track, and what a merciful grace by God. Maranatha!
