In fairness, I once used and did a review on Aqua Wallet, as I thought the multisig setup was solid enough. But this hacking incident with a bug being added and then exploited so quickly makes me doubt any custodial system, and Coinkite sat on a bug in their hardware wallets for years added by one of the cofounders… so someone can rug you with a malicious software update, even more likely as programmers are getting lazy and using unvetted AI code. And Samson Mow is a trash individual being Adam Back’s lap dog, so he deserves the shame and this will probably kill his Aqua Wallet. And Adam has said he’ll cover the lost Bitcoin backing Liquid Bitcoin, but where is it? And we’re at several days of people having funds locked in the Liquid Bitcoin network which I would find unacceptable. It certainly looks like Adam Back, Samson Mow and Blockstream might be teetering on the brink of destruction. Even if someone eventually covers the deficit, I’d never touch it again.
