Liquid Bitcoin Hackers Get Personal and Bitcoin Blake2b Miner Attack

The hackers get personal with Andy, though the Samson comment seems to have been sent to the hacker’s address. Someone saying Samson brought a Bitcoin celebrity to the president of El Salvador for some debauchery, but not sure how much of that I’d believe. It is a wonderful example of how terrible blowing up OP_RETURN was, as I have to hold all these SPAM messages on my node in the blockchain. Consequently, Adam finally said the $57 million will be covered, and Liquid Bitcoin is back to processing transactions after a four day outage with peg-in and peg-outs still frozen. Will this put a damper on Liquid Bitcoin usage and trust, as it wasn’t used too terribly much before, and four days is too long of an outage for me with you still not being able to get funds out including swaps in/out to Bitcoin Lightning…

This is interesting that someone with a lot of Blake2B ASICs are trying to capitalize on the new Bitcoin Black2B network, gaslighting and not honoring an agreement negotiated to limit mining percentage. It will be fun to see what measures the new network takes. Consequently, I have a node running on the new network, but I haven’t transacted yet as I was waiting for a foolproof way to separate coins and see some vetting with wallet forks… Then we’ll need to see if people start to take it as payment as well as adoption by exchanges.
