The Surveillance State Is Alive, Well, and Billing You in Paid Parking Garages

This is pretty wild and looks to be legitimate. A woman is the passenger in a car and the parking garage payment system tracked her by her phone, and since her friend didn’t pay via the QR code on the wall, the system billed her credit card for the parking, because she had used the system previously. And this is the new surveillance frontier beyond AI ALPR cameras, signal tracking as a lot of devices are sending radio messages with unique identifiers. They’ve given us randomized MAC addresses on smartphones for some WiFi privacy, but a lot of other transmissions do not have randomized identifiers not to mention what WiFi networks your phone is querying, one of the reasons for Google Street View was their vehicles were cataloging all the WiFi IDs which they use for their precision location along with Bluetooth signals they are also are cataloging…now being done for them by phone users that have this enabled. And why when I leave the house I turn off WiFi, and if not using data or Bluetooth, those are turned off as well with Airplane mode, and just a good practice for your health if you keep your phone on your body as 5G pulsed transmissions will cause damage to tissue and DNA… You can go further and enable developer mode and turn off sensors, as Google can match accelerometer data to other users and figure out where you are, e.g. public transportation, congested freeways…
