As a node runner and user of Bitcoin, you can do things on side chains minimally linked back to Bitcoin, but no filling up the blockchain and making it problematic to run nodes and store the blockchain. Technically, this is an attack on Bitcoin, as if they can knock out significant numbers of node runners, forcing people to use commercial nodes, they wipe out the last defense of Bitcoin from the corporate interests that will ruin the experiment of regular people having access to real money not destroying it’s financial value through inflation and money printing. And as always, pay attention to methods, as the deceitful don’t argue merits rationally, but resort to emotional pleas and personal attacks.
