They should probably move to American style armored trucks. I worked for Brinks back on the late 90’s, and our trucks were diesel Internationals with good power and torque, and our garage fabricated custom steel bumpers for our well armored trucks. We were allowed to use the vehicles to stop would be robbers but had to show some restraint. Once an employee rammed a robbers vehicle too violently, causing to to roll over another vehicle killing the occupant. Also, the driver was isolated with gun ports to the back messenger compartment, so if you got into the back you could be easily shot by the driver. But you’d have to get by the messenger who had gun ports to the outside of the truck as well. The way the world is going, they’ll probably start giving the crew an AR-15 like law enforcement carries today. And we did have the ability to carry shotguns in addition to our pistols. And I used to take my own personal 00 buck shells and 1 ounce slugs in addition to the eight 00 buck shells that were given out with the shotgun from the armory. Consequently, I left Brinks for AT&T, but Brinks had been the most enjoyable job I ever had while working with a good bunch of guys and gals far from the wokeness of today.

(DCNF)—Gunmen assaulted armored vehicles that ended in a fiery battle with Italian military police Monday on state road 613, which connects the cities of Lecce and Brindisi.
The suspects blocked the two armored vehicles with cash in transit using a vehicle on fire to force the armored vehicles to stop, according to Italien News. The Carabinieri — a militarized law enforcement agency of the Italian government — were called to the scene and engaged the suspects in a firefight while the suspects attempted to flee from the scene, the outlet reported.
Suspects used explosives on the armored vehicles to access the vehicle’s contents, according to the Italien News. The vehicles are owned by Gruppo Battistolli, a security company specializing in armored transportation for cash and other valuable assets, the Daily Mail reported.
A video taken of the incident — first shared by Deputy for the Italian Democratic Party Claudio Stefanazzi — was posted to X on Monday. The video shows the vehicles surrounded by armed men blocking the armored vans and a van belonging to Gruppo Battistolli exploding from the rear.
The video depicts multiple masked gunmen, some prominently wearing white overalls and carrying what appears to be semi-automatic rifles.
The suspects fled the scene and shot at police chasing them, striking a police car 3 times with bullets and ramming an unmarked police car, according to the Daily Mail.
Italian law enforcement were successful in arresting three suspects involved with the robbery and still searching for other suspects involved in the incident, Il Messagero reported in Italian.
The gunmen were ultimately unable to steal the contents of the armored vehicles, according to the Daily Mail.
The robbers were identified as being from the Foggiano territory which is known for gangs that specialize in robbery on armored vehicles, Sky TG24 reported in Italian.
No one involved in the incident has been reported as injured, according to Italien News.
The Carabinieri did not immediately respond to the Daily Caller News Foundation’s request for comment.
