Colorado is a legal marijuana state, and I’ve often wondered about impaired workers who might make such mistakes. And even recreational use off hours could impact work time decisions, not to mention people with alcohol addictions. Consequently, when we drive by Wellington, Colorado or stop at Ridleys supermarket, we see all the traffic at a dispensary right off the freeway, and there are some nice trucks and SUVs in the parking lot, indicating people with good paying jobs. And watching internet videos, police dashcam and bodycam videos, people are pretty cooked these days and you have to think drug use plays a part. Good thing the only fuel I buy in Colorado is from Buc-ees’, the ethanol free variety where I’d imagine the tanker driver is paying more attention.
