Interesting perspective on Rust and if we can trust it? I do compile and run Electrs, a Rust implementation of Electrum Server, on my Bitcoin nodes which wallets interface with for transactions. Beyond crates and woke developers, you have to wonder about the quickly changing specification of Rust as well. And memory safe languages are only really a big deal for megacorps who like to hire new graduates or foreigners on the cheap, as quality coders don’t need this functionality by verifying data and pointers…
