Update on status of pharmacies dispensing the abortion pill, and this mifepristone as previously reported has terrible side effects. And abortion pills are the reason the OCGFC allowed Roe vs. Wade to be repealed, as they could start up a lot of political propaganda around abortion and “women’s health” (ability to kill babies), without affecting the number of abortions that has actually risen<\/a>. And the Church of Satan is even mailing out this drug<\/a> saying it’s a religious ritual and right, telling you all you need to know.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kroger appears to have joined certain other pharmacies in dispensing the abortion pill, which intentionally ends the lives of preborn human beings \u2014 or, in the words of the grocery store chain\u2019s website<\/a>, \u201cend[s] a pregnancy.\u201d But it looks like it might not just be offering the drug, but offering it at a deep discount<\/em> for health savings club members.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The abortion pill mifepristone (200mg) is listed among the many \u201cpopular\u201d drugs offered upon applying for a Kroger Health Savings Club membership. The program<\/a> allows members to \u201cstart saving up to 85% on your prescription medications.\u201d A search for the drug\u2019s pricing on the Kroger Health Savings Club website<\/a> reveals that it will offer members the pill for $7.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The website is clear that the drug is used \u201cto end a pregnancy,\u201d but unlike the Sam\u2019s Club pharmacy website<\/a>, Kroger\u2019s website does not detail the potential risks for taking the drug.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Live Action News called the number listed for Kroger Health Savings Club and inquired whether the drugs listed here would be available at every Kroger Pharmacy. We were told that this website is not a mail-order pharmacy, but that customers will need to ask at each specific Kroger Pharmacy whether mifepristone will be in stock or available at that location.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Abortion pill v. Korlym<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The abortion pill was approved<\/a> in 2000 as mifepristone (brand name Mifeprex) and is administered in a 200-milligram dosage. It is manufactured under the direction of Danco Laboratories<\/a> and the generic version under GenBioPro<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In January 2023, the Biden FDA further gutted the REMS by announcing it would allow retail pharmacies to dispense the drug<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the screen image from the Kroger website above, the drug mifepristone also shows \u201cKorlym,\u201d which also contains mifepristone as the active ingredient. However, the dosage is different (200 mg v. 300 mg).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As Live Action News previously<\/a> detailed, Korlym is manufactured<\/a> by Corcept Therapeutics and was approved in 2012 by the FDA to treat Cushing syndrome. It is not the abortion pill. According to the FDA\u2019s approval letter<\/a>, Korlym\u2019s mifepristone tablets are 300 milligrams versus the mifepristone approved by the FDA for the termination of pregnancy (abortion), which is 200 milligrams.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Korlym\u2019s November 2019<\/a> black box label<\/a> warns, \u201cMifepristone has potent antiprogestational effects and will result in the termination of pregnancy. Pregnancy must therefore be excluded before the initiation of treatment with KORLYM, or if treatment is interrupted for more than 14 days in females of reproductive potential.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kroger Family Pharmacy<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Kroger Health Savings website states, \u201cThe Kroger Health Savings Club is an annual membership program that entitles members to significantly reduced prices on thousands of popular prescription drugs. There are two plan options: one for Individuals and one for Families. Kroger Health Savings Club is not insurance<\/strong>,\u201d the website states.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Troubling is the fact that a Kroger Health Savings Membership is available at \u201cAny Kroger Family Pharmacy\u201d \u2013 and there are multiple companies that partner with Kroger, as shown below:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is unclear whether any or all of these chains will also dispense abortion drugs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pharmacy chains pressured to dispense abortion pills <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Live Action News previously<\/a> detailed how pharmacy chains are being pressured to become certified to dispense the deadly drug.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In June of 2023, Democrat members of Congress pressed<\/a> Walmart, Costco, Safeway, Kroger, and HealthMart to undergo the certification process to dispense mifepristone. Then, as Live Action News previously<\/a> documented, in July of 2024, NYC Comptroller Brad Lander sent letters to pharmacy giants Walmart<\/a>, Costco<\/a>, Kroger<\/a>, Albertsons<\/a>, and McKesson<\/a>, urging them to \u201c[p]rovide abortion medication or risk losing investor confidence\u201d and to \u201cstart dispensing mifepristone without delay.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Following Lander\u2019s demands upon the pharmacy chains, comptrollers from 15 states<\/a> pushed back, calling the move<\/a> \u201cpolitical.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In response to the demand letters<\/a> from New York City Comptroller Brad Lander, on August 15, 2024<\/a>, Kroger Health president Colleen Lindholz wrote:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dear Mr. Lander:<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thank you for your letter requesting the status of The Kroger Co.\u2019s position on offering mifepristone in our family of pharmacies. Following the Food and Drug Administration\u2019s updated risk evaluation and mitigation strategy (REMS) for pharmacy dispensing of mifepristone, we began a review of the federal certification process. This includes the logistics involved in bringing the medication to our stores, training our pharmacy teams, and delivering medication to patients in compliance with a complicated and ever changing and litigated framework of federal and state law.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

At this time, we are evaluating becoming REMS certified to dispense this product, including the logistics and as-yet unresolved legal landscape associated with that process, and commit to providing the highest level of care to our patients.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Now, apparently Kroger has caved. \u201cThe highest level of care\u201d does not and should not include intentional killing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This past spring, Walgreens and CVS announced<\/a> that they had finalized the pharmacy dispensing certification process. Additional \u201ccertified pharmacies<\/a>\u201d who agreed to be publicly named<\/a> have been published<\/a> on GenBioPro\u2019s website. In addition, Live Action News recently exposed<\/a> Sam\u2019s Club for dispensing the deadly pills.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The abortion pill ends the life of a living preborn child by starving the baby<\/a> of important nutrients the child needs to survive. The drug also has potential risks, including a black box warning for sepsis. The FDA\u2019s medication guide<\/a> for the drug acknowledges that as many as seven percent (7%) of women who take mifepristone will need surgery after<\/strong> \u201cto stop bleeding\u201d or to complete the abortion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With Guttmacher\u2019s latest numbers showing<\/a> that 63% of the 1,037,000 abortions in 2023 were done by abortion pill, this means that as many as 45,000<\/a> women<\/strong><\/em> could require surgery after taking the abortion pill every year.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
