BlackRock\u2019s Bitcoin exchange-traded fund (ETF) witnessed a record trading day after Donald Trump\u2019s victory in the United States presidential election.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In a Nov. 6 post<\/a> to X, Bloomberg ETF analyst Eric Balchunas shared that the iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT) witnessed its \u201cbiggest volume day ever\u201d with over $4.1 billion in daily trading volume on Nov. 6. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cFor context that\u2019s more volume than stocks like Berkshire, Netflix, or Visa saw today. It was also up 10%, its second-best day since launching, \u201c he added. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The other Bitcoin BTC $75,779<\/a> ETFs also had one of their best days since \u201cthe crazy early days\u201d in January, with most of the funds doing two times their average volume, according to a follow-up post<\/a> from Balchunas. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

IBIT\u2019s record trading day came amid a flurry of bullish signals for Bitcoin, with the asset notching a new all-time high of $76,500 on Nov. 6, less than one day after crypto-friendly Trump\u2019s election as the next president of the US. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The price of Bitcoin had since retraced slightly to $75,267 at the time of publication, according to TradingView data<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bitcoin has dominated the ETF landscape this year, accounting for six of the top 10 most successful launches in 2024, ETF Store president Nate Geraci said in an X post<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Analysts also said that Trump and the sweeping pro-crypto policies he\u2019s promised may be a boon for assets beyond Bitcoin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Already in 2024, asset managers have flocked to submit a swathe of regulatory filings to list ETFs holding altcoins<\/a>, including Solana, XRP and Litecoin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Issuers are also waiting on approval for several planned crypto index ETFs designed to hold diverse baskets of tokens.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On Oct. 25, Balchunas described the filings for crypto index ETFs as \u201ccall options on a Trump victory<\/a>\u201d in the US presidential race. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Meanwhile, several analysts and traders have predicted that Bitcoin\u2019s price will keep rising now that Trump \u2014 a pro-crypto Republican \u2014 is set to take office. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
