With limited search engines, when you’re looking for alternative news or health information you have to go down a few pages before you see anything you’re interested in as they promote propaganda up front. We desperately need a distributed search technology where you can control the algorithm. As you can see they’re working on ways to control “disinformation”, but they mean truth being reported outside their actual disinformation. Consequently, I run my own search privacy proxy, Searxng,<\/a> that pulls from multiple sources, but its still not ideal. And forget about social media platforms, as they’re usually run by the propagandists also having connections to CIA venture capital when they were getting started, so read that as captured. But the beauty of the internet is anyone can self publish by running their own server whether at home or as an affordable virtual private server. Of course the time is coming when they’ll even go after private servers and those interested in actual truth will have to transition to the dark web<\/a> to find it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

(WND<\/a>)\u2014Government censorship of people\u2019s ideas, statements and thoughts is flourishing not only in the United States, according to a new report from the Foundation for Freedom Online.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In America, the Supreme Court essentially gave such First Amendment-trashing operations a pass, in the recent Murthy lawsuit, by claiming that states and individuals weren\u2019t being injured by the instructions from the Joe Biden administration to social media companies on what ideas to suppress.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

That ruling, killing the case because the plaintiffs didn\u2019t have \u201cstanding,\u201d allows Biden administration officials to continue to give censorship instructions to social media, to even coerce and threaten them, so they shut down ideas Biden dislikes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But that\u2019s minor next to what\u2019s going on in Europe, the report explained. There, there\u2019s a new censorship \u201csuperweapon\u201d in place. Ready to use.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The foundation report cited Europe\u2019s new Digital Services Act, which creates a \u201cunified framework for government-directed content moderation across the European Union.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Each country now has a \u201cdigital services coordinator\u201d with the power to penalize online platforms if they fail to adequately address \u201csystemic risks,\u201d the report pointed out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Included is \u201chate speech\u201d and \u201cmisinformation,\u201d which is known to include speech that is correct and reasonable, but just conflicts with the politically correct talking points. Comments, for example, about there existing in science two sexes, male and female, has been condemned as both hate speech and misinformation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThese official speech commissars can deputize third party entities to act as \u2018trusted flaggers,\u2019 empowering the global network of NGOs, research institutes, and private companies that make up the censorship industry,\u201d the report said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The act actually went into effect at the beginning of the year, and is \u201cthe European Union\u2019s flagship online censorship law,\u201d the foundation said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cOther than China\u2019s Great Firewall, it is arguably the most elaborate and wide-reaching instrument of government control of online content in the world.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It categorizes its targeted communities as Very Large Online Platforms and Very Large Online Search Engines, and can be used to impose fines \u201cfor non-compliance\u201d of up to 6% of a providers\u2019 global annual turnover.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Those corporations, under the law, are required to \u201cidentify, analyze, and assess systemic risks\u201d and then install procedures to oppose those \u201crisks.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIn other words, the EU wants platforms to identify and suppress content proactively \u2014 something that, realistically, can only be accomplished at scale using AI censorship tools,\u201d the foundation reported.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Included in its vast overreach is information dealing with \u201cpublic security and electoral processes,\u201d \u201cgender-based violence,\u201d \u201cdiscrimination\u201d or \u201cillegal content.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Also \u201chate speech,\u201d which, the foundation confirms, \u201chas been used as a pretext to criminally penalize political candidates and members of the public for political expression in a number of European countries.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Also, the law boosts the censorship industry by requiring for \u201cvetted researchers\u201d to have access to the data from platforms, opening the door for more censorship.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
