This is part of the Denver Community Solar Program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The city has plans to install 16 community solar gardens that it says will power buildings with renewable energy and once completed the 16 solar gardens will reduce the same amount of emissions as 1,000 cars.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The City Council approved the <a href=\"https:\/\/denver.legistar.com\/LegislationDetail.aspx?ID=6608889&amp;GUID=E902ED16-4F1C-473D-A5DE-0EFA91CFB4A0\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">expenditure<\/a> this week.
