But I guess they need to lobby to get the rest of the tech companies to fall in line. An interesting note is BitChute is a general member, which doesn&#8217;t bode well for them to continue being a platform for distributing alternative views. It just goes to show, that to put out truthful information that contradicts their propaganda you need to run your own platform somewhere in the world outside their reach, because they will debank you and force your hosting provider or internet company to drop you if you show up on their radar. And southfront.org even had their domain taken away, now <a href=\"https:\/\/southfront.press\/\">southfront.press <\/a>who have to solely rely on cryptocurrency donations in their value for value reader supported model. And the globalist OCGFC continue to mention limiting people&#8217;s access to information as a stated goal for their incoming one world government.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/reclaimthenet.org\/big-tech-alliance-targets-covid-19-misinformation-links-it-to-extremism-calls-for-content-censorship\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">https:\/\/reclaimthenet.org\/big-tech-alliance-targets-covid-19-misinformation-links-it-to-extremism-calls-for-content-censorship<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-ub-divider ub_divider ub-divider-orientation-horizontal\" id=\"ub_divider_54c99d65-e3f4-45f4-a6a4-b15180c99531\"><div class=\"ub_divider_wrapper\" style=\"position: relative; margin-bottom: 2px; width: 100%; height: 2px; \" data-divider-alignment=\"center\"><div class=\"ub_divider_line\" style=\"border-top: 2px solid #ccc; margin-top: 2px; \"><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">More censorship overreach demands.<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Big Tech alliance Global Internet Forum to Counter Terrorism (GIFTC) research \u201cpartner\u201d Global Network on Extremism and Technology (GNET) has published an <a href=\"https:\/\/gnet-research.org\/2024\/03\/13\/combating-online-extremism-in-the-global-south-lessons-from-covid-19-misinformation-flows\/\">article<\/a> revisiting the pandemic, always, of course, in the context of \u201cmisinformation.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>GIFTC\u2019s founding members are Microsoft, Facebook, X (Twitter), and YouTube (Google), while \u201cgeneral members\u201d include these four and pretty much every tech company you\u2019ve ever heard of, from Amazon and Airbnb to BitChute and Giphy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>GIFTC has previously come under criticism for censorship practices without oversight, whereas GIFTC now goes after \u201cCovid misinformation\u201d \u2013 including by conflating it with extremism, and is urging \u201cinterventions to address the spread of problematic content.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The piece claims that its goal is to understand the mechanisms that allow for \u201cproblematic information\u201d to disseminate across platforms and then spread between the world\u2019s regions, all for the sake of being able to stop that \u201cdiffusion.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It looks into things like the geographical location of different participants in the \u201cdiffusion,\u201d their cultural and linguistic similarities, as well as thematic similarity of content (such as religious and political themes).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The study also clearly positions itself ideologically when it, in passing, refers to former US and Brazilian presidents Trump and Bolsonaro as having \u201cextremist predispositions.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With that in mind, the choice of topics \u2013 the pandemic, misinformation, as well as \u201cmethodology and findings\u201d become easier to understand.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Regarding the first, the authors chose to look into Facebook groups and organizations and individuals like Doctors for Truth and microbiologist Didier Raoult, collectively accused of sharing \u201cfalse and misleading content\u201d about coronavirus, vaccines, masks, hydroxychloroquine, etc., in one form or other.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And, the goal is to find out what helped this information travel from \u201cGlobal North\u201d to \u201cGlobal South.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Soon enough, what\u2019s supposed to be countered thanks to the findings from this \u201cresearch\u201d is referred to as extremism in online networks, suggesting that Covid \u201cmisinformation\u201d qualifies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Because the \u201cfindings\u201d show that interplay tied to language, culture, and themes covered by content shared by various groups is not easy to untangle and go after, the recommendation is to come up with \u201ctargeted network-informed interventions\u201d that would prevent information flowing from one part of the world to another.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cBy identifying key factors influencing tie formation, policymakers, and platform moderators can implement targeted interventions to mitigate the spread of extremist content,\u201d those behind the article said.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The world is truly mad, as up is down, wrong is right&#8230; This group to fight disinformation is the biggest distributors of disinformation and actively censoring people on their platforms (and many are connected to intelligence and In-Q-Tel).
