If you&#8217;re coming out with content critical of the government and their participation in Agenda 2030 and The Great Reset you&#8217;d want to run your own servers and have your own monetization stream like value for value or cryptocurrency donations. Counting on a megacorp and advertisers along with traditional finance companies is a recipe for failure as you&#8217;re demonetized and eventually censored. Some of the new streaming platforms will only be able to resist governments and megacorp advertizers for so long. Go to hell.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cNot a f**king chance You censorial Scumrat,\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/jordanbpeterson\/status\/1708180204219154645?s=20\">said<\/a> Dr. Jordan Peterson on X.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>CRTC\u2019s announcement states that podcasters meeting certain criteria \u201cneed to provide information about their activities in Canada.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Online streaming services operating in Canada that offer audio or video content that generate $10 million or more in annual revenues must complete a registration form by November 28.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It\u2019s pitched as a one-time requirement collecting basic information.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cSecond, the CRTC is setting conditions for online streaming services to operate in Canada. These conditions take effect today and require certain online streaming services to provide the CRTC with information related to their content and subscribership.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Furthermore, CRTC stated that another ongoing consultation will address how podcasters and those offering video streaming services contribute to Canadian and Indigenous content.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\u201cCreeping totalitarianism\u201d<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>The Online Streaming Act is legislation that was passed earlier this year, which Canadian author Margaret Atwood called \u201ccreeping totalitarianism.\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>While debating censorship Bill C-11, Canadian senator David Richards <a href=\"https:\/\/thecountersignal.com\/liberals-censorship-bill-c-11-goes-to-third-reading-draws-stalin-comparison\/\">said<\/a>, if it passes, Joseph Stalin would be \u201clooking over our shoulder when we write.\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Richards also said the bill is \u201ccensorship passing as national inclusion.\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Liberals say the bill will promote Canadian content over non-Canadian content.
