But today there is a story about him and his church baptizing 4,500 people<\/a> so I looked into him. Disnt.com did a great job exposing him below, but this part is of interest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Statistics from Greg Laurie\u2019s crusades<\/a> show that among the thousands of people who touted their \u201cdecision\u201d for Jesus at these gatherings, only 3 to 6 percent of them show any fruits of salvation one year later. Why could this be? Phil Johnson from Grace to You says<\/a> that Greg Laurie\u2019s current associations are representative of his theological drift, and that his \u201cdoctrinal boundaries are so hazy that there\u2019s hardly any variety of popular religion or spiritual chicanery that he won\u2019t align himself with, as long as it calls itself \u2018Christian,\u2019 and gains a large following.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n Those numbers are eerily similar to Billy Graham and his TV crusades sponsored by the Rockefellers when they needed support from Christians for their cold war with the Soviet Union. Consequently, Billy Graham was a cancer<\/a> on the church (see also Evangelism Divided<\/a><\/em>), and low and behold Greg Laurie is on the board of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association<\/a>. The sad part is a lot of false “Christians” are going to think themselves saved because of men like Greg Laurie, but Christ is going to reject them. And as the Apostle Paul said even with these wicked self serving profiteers, there is a fraction that will open a Bible because they want to know their God and their Messiah and will be saved, and extricate themselves from these false teachers. He is the senior pastor of Harvest Christian Fellowship<\/a> in Riverside, CA, one of the largest churches in America. Many have touted him as being the next Billy Graham. In the likeness of Billy Graham\u2019s crusades, Laurie has invested endless efforts in his Harvest Crusades since the early 1990s, reaching audiences in the hundreds of thousands at every event. Laurie\u2019s popular style of watered-down preaching and making the adulterated Word of God more palatable to the world has helped his empire grow tremendously, and transform Laurie into a celebrity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n As with nearly all celebrity Christian luminaries, there comes a time when the message they deliver has become so devoid of any convicting biblical substance that nearly anyone, whether they profess Christ or not, will be lured in by their seductive charisma. Perhaps one of the most spiritually dangerous assemblages of professing Christians this year will be The Gathering<\/em><\/a>. The Gathering<\/em> is described as a \u201cNational Solemn Assembly to unite the Body of Christ in America \u2014 all believers, regardless of race, age, or denomination \u2014 in prayer for forgiveness, wisdom, and provision for our nation.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n But see, here\u2019s the problem, and what makes this event especially dangerous. The Gathering<\/em> is filled with many popular names that are accepted in mainstream evangelical circles. Most of these compromised celebrities will speak a little bit of truth mixed with error. They are the bridge between true Christianity and blatantly false Christianity. They are the seducers, who deceive even the elect if that were possible (Matthew 24:24). They are the ones that many sincere but undiscerning followers of Christ will be drawn away by because their books and materials are promoted in their churches.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Many popular names like former Southern Baptist President, Ronnie Floyd, Anne Graham Lotz, daughter of Billy Graham, former ERLC president, Richard Land, the wildly popular Benham Brothers, NAR Apostle Samuel Rodriguez, Word of Faith pastor of Gateway Church, Robert Morris, and other compromisers such as Jack Graham, James Robison, Kay Arthur and Priscilla Shirer\u2026.and Greg Laurie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n There are two possibilities here. Either Greg Laurie is so undiscerning that he has no idea that this event is filled with false teachers, Gospel-compromisers, and self-promoting charlatans or he is well aware of their works and sees nothing wrong with them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The latter is more plausible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Of course, being praised as \u201cone of the greatest evangelists alive,\u201d by one of the greatest con artists alive, Steven Furtick, is quite telling. Of course, Laurie returns the favor, promoting the arch-heretic, Steven Furtick\u2019s Scripture-denying book<\/a>, Crash the Chatterbox<\/em>, on Twitter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Laurie is an ecumenist\u2013that is, he wants to tear down doctrinal divides between professing Christians and see them join hands under a superficial unity. Laurie took it upon himself to pronounce 2016 Republican presidential primary candidate, Marco Rubio, saved<\/a>, even though Rubio unashamedly made it clear that he was fully theologically and doctrinally aligned with the Roman Catholic church. And one of Laurie\u2019s associate pastors, Jeff Lasseigne, in a now-deleted video, claims he has asked Christianity\u2019s greatest enemy of all time, the pope, to pray the upcoming Crusades, while jokingly tapping a bobblehead statue of the pope that he has on display in his office.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Greg Laurie has admitted to involving Roman Catholic churches<\/a> in his crusades.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n
