Sitting around waiting for hand outs isn&#8217;t going to serve you well in the coming financial reset, when you need to better yourself and work hard to provide for your needs and your future. Is this how the people of Denver truly wish to be represented?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.9news.com\/article\/news\/local\/next\/next-with-kyle-clark\/denver-councilwoman-suggests-tax-white-owned-businesses-cdebaca\/73-d558f921-08ab-4fe9-b9d0-1b0387aca12d\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\">NBC News in Denver<\/a> reports:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><strong>Denver Councilwoman CdeBaca suggests tax on white-owned businesses<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Denver City Councilwoman Candi CdeBaca is suggesting a new tax on white-owned businesses to fund racial reparations to minority-owned businesses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>CdeBaca advocated for race-based taxation, which would almost certainly prompt constitutional challenges, at a Thursday forum before the Greater Metro Denver Ministerial Alliance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>CdeBaca faces a June 6 runoff to represent District 9.
