In the midst of God’s rebuke of the king of Tyre with references to little g god, in the lamentation God goes into background on the power behind the king to what can only be Satan himself, as who else was a cherib in Eden and on God’s holy mountain, the signet of perfection, full of wisdom and perfect in beauty, blameless since their creation until their pride and beauty caused them to sin. This is extraordinary scripture I don’t think I’ve ever heard anyone preach on and wonderful background on Satan who is running our world within the limits placed on him by God. And you can take the prophetic ending of the lamentation as not only applying to Tyre symbolically, but to Satan himself literally<\/a>, a once Holy angel that rebelled against God and tried to usurp God’s throne. Consequently, God is allowing Satan to be the god of this world to accomplish His ends in finding out who wants to be reconciled and spend eternity with God, adopted into the family of God, but also showing how inadequate Satan is to be god. And Satan has lured many men to follow him and commit all kinds of evil on the earth, but God’s Church of the faithful are securely saved and will escape his clutches joining God for eternity, while Satan is ultimately sent to the Lake of Fire with all the others that have rejected our holy, just and good God. [7] And when the thousand years are ended, Satan will be released from his prison [8] and will come out to deceive the nations that are at the four corners of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them for battle; their number is like the sand of the sea. [9] And they marched up over the broad plain of the earth and surrounded the camp of the saints and the beloved city, but fire came down from heaven and consumed them, [10] and the devil who had deceived them was thrown into the lake of fire and sulfur where the beast and the false prophet were, and they will be tormented day and night forever and ever.
