You will eat ze bugs, and you will like it (imagine voice of bond villain Mr. WEF Klaus Schwab). This is a serious effort to replace our normal food proteins with bugs. I envision the bug bars in the back of the train in the movie Snowpiercer<\/a><\/em> which was a prescient movie in showing our future world in the context of the last human survivors on a moving train. The slaves in the back eating their bug bars in squalor while the elites up front enjoyed all their delicacies, drugs and debauchery. Of interest see how they’re not going to address people that could have allergies<\/a> with no requirement this be on the label.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The European Union has approved the use of powdered crickets in flour-based foods for public consumption, despite a lack of conclusive data on human allergies regarding the insects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Due to the \u201cinconclusive\u201d allergy data on the bugs, manufacturers won\u2019t have any specific requirements to list the powder in foods\u2019 ingredients.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The new statute allowing the bugs to be used in human foods goes into effect on Tuesday.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n
