I do like the grand jury refusing to indict the vandal, as that’s a significant message of discontent and an unusual use of a grand jury. Consequently, I fear this is part of a psyop promoting vandalism to be followed with new laws and\/or steeper penalties for destroying public safety equipment, or the federal government will takeover with applying federal law with steep penalties. There are so many laws they can’t be counted, so they can probably dig up something on anyone they wish to target, and corrupt federal prosecutors and corrupt federal judges can shoehorn a conviction beyond the law, effectively legislating from the bench. And federal judges have history for preventing defendants from putting forth a legitimate defense in their trial, a grave injustice. Just look at how they treated the Jan 6th mostly peaceful protestors who rotted in federal jail, which itself was a setup and psyop, with the victims conditioned by how BLM and ANTIFA protestors rarely suffered any consequences…<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At this point, Flock automatic license plate readers are basically a 90-10 issue in the US. In fact, so many Americans hate these surveillance towers that hacking one down has become the quickest way to achieve national folk-hero status<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In one incident reported by the Verge<\/em><\/a>, a sheriff in Lumpkin County, Georgia announced a $1,000 reward for information resulting in the arrest of the vandal responsible for destroying a Flock camera installed in a community park.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI hope you\u2019re happy with this. It was to keep our kids safe,\u201d the sheriff said in a Reel<\/a> uploaded to Facebook.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since uploading the video on August 17, the clip has garnered over one million views \u2014 in addition to over 30,000 comments admonishing the sheriff and praising the vandal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The support for Flock vigilantes doesn\u2019t just live online. Last week, a grand jury in Ohio refused to bring felony charges<\/a> against a man accused of destroying an ALPR, despite the fact that he was caught on video doing so.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And as the Verge<\/em> notes, the public backlash is forcing police departments to concede. In one cluster of towns in Wisconsin, a decision by one city to non-renew its contract with Flock led to a domino-effect of nearby towns pulling down their ALRPs as well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Basically, police felt that fewer Flock cameras in surrounding communities cheapened their own networks \u2014 proof positive that quashing one police department\u2019s ALPR plans is an important step for anybody interested in driving the surveillance devices out of their homes for good.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
