Frankly, Demonrats and their chameleon buddies, RINOs, are liars, but it’s interesting that a man claiming to be Christian doesn’t understand the Bible while being a “Pastor”. He’s neither a Pastor nor a Christian with this belief system. So many claiming to be “Chrisitans” are going to be rejected by Christ, and He warned them in that Bible they say is in error. Will he weep or gnash his teeth? And if you can’t believe one part of the Bible, what about it can you believe? Fortunately God rules His creation, and He is capable of keeping His Word intact so you can trust it, if you don’t try and conform it into your sinful worldview that never ends well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Democrat Senate candidate and pastor Adam Hamilton asked in a 2015 video how much \u201clatitude\u201d Christians have to push back on the Bible, including whether they can say the Apostle Paul was \u201cwrong.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hamilton made<\/a> the comments at an event run by an LGBTQ-affirming Christian group. He spoke during a pastors\u2019 panel hosted by the Reformation Project. The nonprofit was founded in 2013 by Matthew Vines to reform church teaching on sexual orientation and gender identity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hamilton traced the questions to congregants who came out to him as gay, saying it left him without a framework for reading scripture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cHow in fact did God inspire it? How much latitude do we have to push back on it? Where can we say, you know, here I think Paul\u2019s wrong?\u201d Hamilton said, calling it \u201ca really unnerving thought\u201d for a person who read scripture daily.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hamilton said the tension surfaced in a 2001 sermon series, and that the message that shifted his thinking was one on the violence of God in the Old Testament. He said he came to see those passages as incompatible with the teachings of Jesus and concluded there was \u201ca little more culture in the Bible\u201d than he had allowed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThat has implications for how I read the passages of scripture that are often applied to same gender relationships,\u201d Hamilton said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hamilton returned to the Apostle Paul in a January 2025 sermon on Mary Magdalene, arguing that churches barring women from the pulpit had misread Paul\u2019s letters. He said such churches \u201cturned to Paul who\u2019s trying to address first century Christianity,\u201d rather than following what Jesus did with Mary Magdalene. The outlet Protestia reported<\/a> the sermon under a headline saying Hamilton had called Paul \u201cwrong\u201d about women and ministry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hamilton is running for the U.S. Senate in Kansas against incumbent Sen. Roger Marshall (R-KS). The senior pastor of the Church of the Resurrection, the largest United Methodist congregation in the country, won the Democrat primary this month.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hamilton has also said<\/a> the Bible contains \u201chundreds\u201d of errors. In a 2022 sermon, he suggested<\/a> Muslims, Hindus, and adherents of other faiths would reach Heaven and recognize Jesus after death.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A Public Policy Polling survey showed Marshall at 46 percent and Hamilton at 45 percent. Nine percent were undecided. The pollster leans Democrat.
