As we approach the judgement of God, or the tribulation period, which will be just after the end of the church age and when God extracts His children from the earth, the Rapture, we’re looking for a new Temple to be built in Jerusalem. The Temple Institute<\/a> has been collecting the necessary tools and implements for the Temple, but the believed location would require the removal of the Mosques. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, there is a good theory that it was in another location, and could be built, as the location of the Mosques was within the Roman military compound overlooking Jerusalem. It’s also believed that with the false peace of Antichrist, he will help facilitate the construction of the new temple in Jerusalem with a return to temple worship. To be the temple of God, it would need to have his throne which was on the Ark of the Covenant that holds the ten commandments, Aaron’s staff, manna from the wilderness… with God’s mercy seat on top. Of course God ended this system with the tearing of the curtain to the Holy of Holies where the Ark of the Covenant of the Lord was held, which the head priest only entered once a year. But is the Ark of the Covenant of the Lord being held somewhere safe until the construction of the new temple? We do have it making an appearance during the tribulation. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Revelation 11:19<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

[19] Then God\u2019s temple in heaven was opened, and the ark of his covenant was seen within his temple. There were flashes of lightning, rumblings, peals of thunder, an earthquake, and heavy hail. (ESV)<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

So it is possible that God has taken it to heaven already, as it’s no longer needed on the earth, as it is no longer to be God’s throne with His people Israel? Or was it hidden under Jerusalem before the Romans destroyed the second temple?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But there is some interesting references to the Ark of the Covenant in Jeremiah about it being forgotten and not missed, as Jerusalem will be Christ’s throne. And the Ark of the Covenant of the Lord will not be built again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jeremiah 3:15\u201318<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

[15] \u201c\u2018And I will give you shepherds after my own heart, who will feed you with knowledge and understanding. [16] And when you have multiplied and been fruitful in the land, in those days, declares the LORD, they shall no more say, \u201cThe ark of the covenant of the LORD.\u201d It shall not come to mind or be remembered or missed; it shall not be made again. [17] At that time Jerusalem shall be called the throne of the LORD, and all nations shall gather to it, to the presence of the LORD in Jerusalem, and they shall no more stubbornly follow their own evil heart. [<\/strong>18] In those days the house of Judah shall join the house of Israel, and together they shall come from the land of the north to the land that I gave your fathers for a heritage. Has God taken it already? Is Israel going to fabricate a new one for their apostate return to temple worship? Though, the Children of God will see it when the Temple in heaven is opened at least. Maranatha!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
