And beyond God&#8217;s own words, if we look at the mechanics of it, it&#8217;s ridiculous and sick. Homosexuality is great for one thing, birth control as they can&#8217;t even accomplish the purpose of sexual relations in creating a future generation. And you don&#8217;t have to mail deadly abortion drugs to homosexuals, as fecal mater doesn&#8217;t get fertilized, nor do women have material or means for fertilization&#8230; So if you&#8217;re a rational human being, you don&#8217;t even need God&#8217;s opinion on homosexuality, it&#8217;s just wrong and disturbing on so many levels. ETA\u2019s are required for travelers without a Visa to pass through U.K. border control.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThe Supreme Court\u2019s closely divided ruling has had unexpected consequences,\u201d R\u00e4s\u00e4nen said. \u201cIn addition to restricting freedom of expression, it has also created restrictions and difficulties related to travel and participation in meetings and conferences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cMy greatest concern is that this decision has left many people with uncertainty, confusion and fear about the consequences of exercising their freedom of speech and religion in a peaceful manner, and about where the line lies between lawful and prohibited speech.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In a 3-2 decision, the Finnish high court on March 26 found R\u00e4s\u00e4nen&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/adfinternational.org\/news\/breaking-finlands-supreme-court-acquits-parliamentarian-on-bible-tweet-convicts-her-for-insult-in-20-year-old-church\">guilty&nbsp;<\/a>of \u201chate speech.\u201d At the same time, the court unanimously acquitted her on a charge stemming from tweeting a Bible verse in 2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/adfinternational.org\/news\/paivi-rasanen-submits-testimony-before-canadian-senate\/\">ADF International<\/a>&nbsp;has been defending&nbsp;R\u00e4s\u00e4nen, who was first charged with \u201cagitation against a minority group\u201d in April 2021. She was investigated in 2019, after she tweeted a Bible verse that spoke against her church denomination\u2019s endorsement of an LGBTQ event. She was also charged under the section of the Finnish criminal code titled \u201cwar crimes and crimes against humanity\u201d for her statements on marriage and sexuality in a live radio debate, and for her views published in a 2004 church booklet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Two lower courts had acquitted her on all the charges, but the Supreme Court found R\u00e4s\u00e4nen and co-defendant Juhana Pohjola, a Lutheran bishop who published the pamphlet, guilty of having \u201cmade available to the public and kept available to the public opinions that insult homosexuals as a group on the basis of their sexual orientation.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Pohjola has also been denied the travel authorization.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">R\u00e4s\u00e4nen&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/billygraham.org\/decision-magazine\/articles\/paeivi-raesaenen-to-appeal-to-the-european-court-of-human-rights\">announced<\/a>&nbsp;in May that she is appealing her criminal conviction to the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR). The appeal to the ECHR stands as the last legal opportunity for her conviction to be overturned and could serve as a critical turning point for free speech rights in Finland and Europe.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Franklin Graham, in a<a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/100044568093541\/posts\/1610560343772887\/?mibextid=wwXIfr&amp;rdid=ntmx2mbYgtsyeGpM\">&nbsp;Facebook<\/a>&nbsp;post on Wednesday, called on Christians to continue praying for R\u00e4s\u00e4nen\u2014a wife, mother of five and grandmother of 12\u2014who has served in the Finnish Parliament since 1995.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cIt\u2019s hard to believe that Finnish Member of Parliament and Christian&nbsp;P\u00e4ivi R\u00e4s\u00e4nen has been banned from flying through London\u2019s Heathrow Airport simply for her belief on Biblical sexuality,\u201d Graham wrote.&nbsp;\u201cShe has been persecuted for many years in her home country and accused of \u2018hate speech\u2019 simply for quoting what the Bible says about homosexual sin in Romans 1:24-27. Let\u2019s pray for&nbsp;P\u00e4ivi as she stands boldly on God\u2019s Word and refuses to back down. God bless her.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Christian&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/washingtonstand.com\/article\/uk-bars-finnish-christian-mp-from-country-over-biblical-beliefs-on-sexuality\">author<\/a>&nbsp;Rod Dreher, who attended a conference in California recently with R\u00e4s\u00e4nen, criticized the U.K.\u2019s actions: \u201cThe progressive bureaucratic order in European countries would rather attack faithful Christians as Enemies Of Society than deal with the actual problems they have.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In his Facebook post, Graham quoted a warning by Dreher: \u201cWe can expect more of this. It\u2019s a Finnish Lutheran lawmaker and grandmother today; it could easily be you tomorrow.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In an interview with&nbsp;<em>Decision&nbsp;<\/em>last year at BGEA\u2019s&nbsp;European Congress on Evangelism in Berlin,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.paivirasanen.fi\/en\/\">R\u00e4s\u00e4nen&nbsp;<\/a>said that during each of the three police interrogations she was pressured to renounce her Biblical beliefs about marriage and human sexuality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cEach time the police gave me the possibility to renounce my texts and speeches,\u201d she said. \u201cAnd I said that, \u2018I will not renounce even [with] what the consequences will be, because these are not only my opinions. These are what God has spoken in His Word, and I will not apologize.\u2019\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">R\u00e4s\u00e4nen said that during her 13 hours of police interrogation she sometimes felt like she was leading a Bible study. \u201cI had a Bible on the table and the police asked me to explain each passage very thoroughly from Genesis, the Book of Romans and also others about human sexuality and the same-sex couples and so on,\u201d she recalled.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">R\u00e4s\u00e4nen said she has been strengthened in her faith after receiving messages from people who have professed faith in Christ after hearing her testimony through media reports. The Book of Acts, she said, has challenged and inspired her since she was a teenager.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cIf we read Acts, we can see that how through many hardships, and even persecutions and calamities, the apostles get opportunities to preach the Gospel again, and again, and again,\u201d she said. \u201cBut it\u2019s the way that God [works].
