And I was trying to use Exolix to just exchange some Bitcoin for one Zcash, about $393, and the transaction wouldn’t complete. I contacted Exolix and they said it was due to AML, so they couldn’t process the transaction and returned my Bitcoin. In this review below it looks like they are integrated with Binance and KuCoin, so my Bitcoin must have been flagged by them because it had been through a coinjoin transaction. The same transaction went through without a problem with Fixed Float, though Fixed Float doesn’t support the US market, but with my VPN making me appear to be in Argentina, not a problem. This is hardly an amount that should trigger KYC/AML holds. Consequently, this is a taste of where things are heading with exchanges flagging coins just because they were in a coinjoin, even though almost all participants, like me, do it for privacy. Because governments don’t want you to have any financial privacy, hence outlawing exchanges to even handle some privacy coins they can’t track, or coins run through coinjoins to break tracking. They’ll probably even make it difficult to get them returned, considering it legitimate asset forfeiture like law enforcement stealing cash from travelers…

https://coincodecap.com/exolix-review

Exolix Review: Anonymous Instant Crypto Exchange

Gaurav – Editor – Apr 6, 2026

⚠️ Affiliate Disclosure: CoinCodeCap may earn a commission if you sign up through links on this page. Read our full disclosure.

Exolix is a privacy-focused non-custodial instant swap platform based in Estonia — 1,200+ cryptocurrencies, no mandatory registration, fixed and floating rates, no upper limits, and an affiliate program paying 0.5–0.7% per transaction. The ~1.93% rate markup and potential KYC fund-freeze on large transactions are the main concerns. For small amounts and niche tokens, Exolix is reliable. For larger swaps, use ChangeNOW or SimpleSwap which have more transparent compliance policies.

⚠️ Risk Disclaimer: Large swaps may trigger compliance holds.
