It just goes to show, these platforms once they have you locked in are going to squeeze you for more of your sale. It reminds me of how PayPal and Ebay just juice everyone using their platforms. And worth pointing out, this will be paid by the shopper as they raise prices, so Amazon is effectively charging you. The surcharge shows how Amazon can use its marketplace model to pass rising costs on to its merchant partners rather than shoppers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The fee will apply to the sum Amazon charges to ship an item, not the product\u2019s sale price, Vanicek said, adding that the levies were \u201cmeaningfully lower\u201d than those imposed by other carriers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The US Postal Service last week <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bloomberg.com\/news\/articles\/2026-03-25\/us-postal-service-to-raise-prices-due-to-fuel-costs-wsj-says\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">said<\/a> it would increase prices by 8% on some packages.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This is 3.5% more for the shipping fee that Amazon charges the reseller.
