Iran did just do a deal with the Chinese for some impressive supersonic anti-ship missiles not yet delivered, so it could be the Chinese with an interest in cheap Iranian oil. Though, the Russians might have helped as well, irritated by all the help given to Ukraine which translated into many attacks in Russian territory, especially military bases. The only thing we can count on is not getting the real truth of this military engagement, and I have to conclude the halting of shipping in the Straight of Hormuz is purposeful.

https://southfront.press/iranian-strikes-wreck-u-s-army-staging-post-in-kuwait-ahead-of-possible-invasion-photos/

Recent Iranian strikes caused widespread damage at the United States military’s Camp Buehring in Kuwait, according to satellite images released by the Islamic Republic’s media on March 30.

Camp Buehring, a huge staging post in northwestern Kuwait, serves as the primary location for the U.S. military’s Middle Eastern Theater Reserve. It provides critical live-fire ranges in the wider Udairi Range Complex area, in addition to desert-familiarization training meant to prepare tens of thousands of troops for combat operations in the Middle East.

The post is capable of hosting dozens of helicopters, and has an airstrip especially for military cargo aircraft and combat drones.

Iran has carried out numerous missile and drone strikes against the post since the start of the American-Israeli war more than a month ago.

The latest satellite images confirmed that recent strikes caused widespread damage to the post, with dozens of impacts visible. Many maintenance buildings, vehicle parking lots, depots, barracks, and even aircraft shelters were damaged, or completely destroyed.

Iran clearly stepped up its strikes on Camp Buehring in response to ongoing preparations by the U.S. military for a possible ground operation on its territories.

The U.S. military has already sent the 11th and 31st Marine Expeditionary Units, with close to 5,000 marines and six amphibious vessels, as well as some 3,000 paratroopers from the 82nd Airborne Division and various units from the Special Operations Command to the Middle East.

Recent reports revealed that the administration of the U.S. President Donald Trump is considering several options, including sizing Kharg Island, Iran’s main oil export hub, or even retrieving enriched uranium from the heart of the Islamic Republic.

There is still no sign of any deployments at Camp Buehring, but the post could be used in later stages of any ground operation in Iran.

Taking this into account, recent Iranian strikes against Kuwait can be considered pre-emptive action. The strikes show that the Islamic Republic is not fooled by the ongoing diplomatic efforts.

Furthermore, the proximity of Kuwait to Iranian territory suggests that the recent strikes were to some extent, shaping operations, meant to weaken the country’s defenses and distract U.S. troops deployed there ahead of a possible retaliatory ground operation.

I’ve been harping on who has helped the Iranians with their guidance systems, as they’re much more effective this time, just months later.
